Indians in northeast Iowa
January 29th, 2008 . by adminWhat is there as far as northeast Iowa tourism? Well let me tell you it almost all begins with the name Sioux. The biggest town in the area is names Sioux City and the Sioux River flows through the area. You see this was the homeland for the Sioux Indians before it was settled. There a only a few stories of violent Sioux in that immediate area, but they were known as fearless warriors in some of their campaigns across the countryside. They were feared far and wide and now I don’t believe there are even many left in that area.
