Naming Your LLC

November 6th, 2009 . by admin

When you decide to form an LLC you cannot just pick any name you want and then go register it. You have to pick a name not currently used by any other limited liability company on file with the LLC office. Also, you have to put an ending on your name to designate that you are an LLC, for example ending your name with LLC, L.L.C., Limited Liability Company, etc. Depending on the sate you’re in you will also have to make sure that your name does not contain any off-limits words. These words include Bank, City, Corporation, and so forth. In order to know exactly what is and what is not allowed in your state you will need to check locally.
