The quaint little town of La Manzanilla has one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, lined with palm trees, restaurants and a few beachfront homes. This is one of the smaller up and coming towns with a population of only about 2000 people, making it a peaceful place to relax. Surrounded by rolling hills of jungle you feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere, but bigger cities are no more than an hour away. La Manzanilla Real Estate is just starting to grow now as more people come down south to find a little piece of paradise to relax and get away from it all, and La Manzanilla is the perfect place for it. Build your dream home in the hills that will give you a million dollar view without the million dollar price.

The ‘Tutankhamun And The Golden Age Of The Pharaohs’ exhibition at the O2 arena has been running since November last year, and is still pulling in the crowds. Since then, the exhibition has attracted numerous visitors all keen to see the treasures excavated from the Valley of the Kings tomb. Many of these visitors to date have been families with their children, eager to see the UK’s first exhibition of Tutankhamun artefacts in 35 years. Over 130 items from the tomb of the Boy King and his ancestors, lately residing in Luxor’s Valley of the Kings, are on display, all over 3,000 years old. It’s one thing to observe carefully preserved, climate controlled museum pieces and entirely another to stand at the foot of the Great Pyramid of Cheops, perhaps even taking a look inside, with a tour leader bringing them alive by reading passages of the hieroglyphics on the walls of the country’s ancient temples. My wife and I had the great fortune to visit Egypt’s treasures in the flesh some years ago, and it was the best holiday we’ve every had. We have some fantastic memories, and wonderful photographs of ancient monuments, including Karnak temple at luxor, and the pyramids and sphinx at Cairo. The most memeorable experience was the scale of the pyramids. No matter how many times you see them on the television, it never prepares you for witnessing up close. So once you’ve been to the exhibition (it runs until August), and it’s wetted your appetite, get yourself there for next years family holiday! It’s perfectly accessable for families travelling with children, so just type ‘family holidays to egypt’ into google, and see what pops up.

Cyprus, once a British Colony, is the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and is located south of Turkey. Cyprus has a geographically diverse terrain featuring beautiful beaches, as well as miles of unspoiled countryside and plenty of mountains dotted with tranquil villages. The two main ethnic communities of Cyprus, the Greeks and Turks, began to split apart governmentally in 1963. This unrest became more distinct and apparent with the Turkish invasion of 1974 when their Cypriots were given de facto power of the northern part of the island. Then, in 1983, Turkey proclaimed an area called the Turkish Republic of northern Cyprus. The Greek Cypriots, who continue to control the only government that is recognized nationally, never acknowledged this.
