I really like the idea of using lawnmowers that are quiet and non-polluting. Gas run lawnmowers tend to be quite loud. And the amount of carbon emissions comparatively high. Electric is the way to go. But, not with a cable connected to the power supply, because that can be dangerous if you run over the cable, cutting it by accident. The mower I like most I have seen in garden tools stores where it is powered by a battery. The battery is just recharged and the mower is ready to go. Ideally though it is best to use a solar panel to recharge the battery, rather than it being done from a mains power source. That makes using a mower about as green as it can get.
