I love going to the state fair. There are always so many people willing to come out with their horses and show off for competition. Last year we watched the cutest little girl in what looked like her first carriage competition. Sometimes I can’t believe how young they are. There was a girl who couldn’t have been more than eight in one of the competitions. Afterwards she showed my girls her tack. She had a couple of English saddles and bridles in with her tack. I was impressed. Of course I’m never going to live it down with my daughters who are dying to take lessons. If I hear it’s not fair again I might have to scream. Maybe next time we’ll watch the sheep competitions!
